Vice President for Academic Affairs

Caldwell University (www.Caldwell.edu) seeks an accomplished academic leader for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs. As the chief academic officer, the Vice President for Academic Affairs reports to the new President, serves on the president's cabinet and holds administrative responsibility for all academic departments, academic programs, and academic support services of the University. The University, located in Caldwell, New Jersey, approximately 20 miles from New York City, is a Catholic co-educational institution founded by upon the Dominican and Catholic traditions of the Sisters of Saint Dominic. Caldwell offers 31 undergraduate and 31 graduate programs, serving over 2,200 students, including doctoral, master's, certificate and certification programs, as well as online and distance learning options that prepare students for today's global marketplace.



Caldwell University is an innovative campus as it has recently introduced several new programs, including one of the first bachelor's degrees in esports management in the nation. Also, recently added are undergraduate programs in computer science and healthcare administration as well as an online MSN in Population Health, the first of its kind in New Jersey.



The incoming Vice President for Academic Affairs must hold an earned doctorate degree and possess significant experience in positions of increasing responsibility in academic administration as well as a record of accomplishment in teaching and scholarship sufficient to warrant faculty status. An understanding of the role of Catholic, mission driven institutions and knowledge and experience in Catholic higher education is preferred. Experience with launching innovative academic programs and services, and experience with innovative teaching, learning and programming modalities is also desired.
