Basic Function:
Under the direction of the Assistant Registrar, and in collaboration and communication with the Associate Director of Admission, this position will be responsible for reviewing, examining and inputting student course transfer credit and course equivalency for prospective, admitted and matriculated undergraduate and graduate students. As well, this position will develop and maintain the transfer articulation processes for all programs at the University. Maintain and update undergraduate and graduate transfer records. Act as a liaison with admission offices, the Professionals program, Study Abroad and academic departments to research transfer articulation requirements and ensure appropriateness and accuracy of all course articulations. Interact with articulation officers from other institutions as necessary to complete transfer articulations.


Representative Duties:
Assess, authenticate, and process documents submitted for evaluation of transfer credit. Documents include, but are not limited to, university and military transcripts, College Level Examination Program (CLEP), Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) test score reports, and SAT/ACT score reports. Ensure that all formal articulation agreements are reviewed regularly, and if applicable, signed by the appropriate administrators of both institutions. E
Responsible for development and maintenance of the transfer articulation process and ensuring that all articulation information on the Cal Lutheran website is accurate and up to date. E
Maintain a database of accurate and up to date information on transferable courses to include information in Colleague and TES. E
Work with admission offices and academic departments to develop and maintain major related transfer articulation information. E
Work with the Study Abroad office to develop and maintain an articulation for all commonly used study abroad locations. E
Interact with articulation officers from other institutions as necessary to assist in maintaining accurate transfer articulations. E
Coordinate organization of T2CLU transfer registration day functions with other participating offices. E
Assist in the registration of undergraduate and graduate students into classes; assist students at the counter with registration forms and related information. E
Maintain academic records, including the processing of grade changes and transfer approval forms. E
Answer telephones and provide information to students, faculty and the general public on the phone; Work the front counter as needed.
Maintain current knowledge and records of regulations and requirements applicable to the Academic Services. E

Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination equivalent to: bachelors degree and one year of internship or professional experience in higher education admissions, academic advising, student counseling, transcript evaluations, or other student services area.


Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and two years of experience in a higher education environment or related experience.
