Coordinator of Co-curricular Programs

The Office of Enrollment Management and Student Services at Penn State Great Valley is looking for a Student Engagement Coordinator to join their team to coordinate events, conduct programs, and plan student activities designed for domestic and international graduate students. The role of this position is to provide quality co-curricular programming and student support to create and enhance a vibrant and diverse student community.

Responsibilities include:
  • Event planning to welcome new students as well as showcase cultures through educational events
  • Providing quality co-curricular programming and student support to create and enhance a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive student community
  • Managing International Student Orientation each fall
  • With the director of enrollment management and student services, participating in webinars with international students prior to their arrival in the U.S. for the fall semester
  • Supporting and advising recognized student organizations
  • Supervising and accompanying students at events including University-wide events
  • Marketing for programming (including social media)
  • Processing of contracts


Education and Experience:

This position will be filled at a level 2 or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Master's Degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher-level jobs.

The successful candidate should have experience working with a diverse student body and will have excellent communication, organizational, and team-oriented skills in addition to proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position requires regular communication with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and a proven track record of working effectively within a team environment are a must.

Some weekend and evening hours are expected.
