Job Description Summary
The Academic Affairs Program Coordinator will provide event coordination, communications, and overall administrative support for major programs and committees in the Perelman School of Medicine Office of Academic Affairs, including managing projects with timelines and associated budgets, preparing final deliverables in a variety of formats as appropriate for program constituencies, overseeing a complex calendar, coordinating in-person and online meetings, and above all engaging with PSOM program leaders and members in all forms of communication with the highest level of professional integrity and polish.

Job Description

Coordinate administration for the Academic Foundations faculty certificate program
  • serving as the communication and data liaison between program leaders and central school and university offices
  • tracking and processing program budgets
  • creating and disseminating recruitment and other marketing materials
  • communicating with participating faculty on program and course milestones
  • assisting program leaders with organizing curriculum planning meetings and program presentations
  • scheduling program special engagement speakers and panelists
  • updating Academic Foundations Canvas courses as needed, populating Canvas data areas with provided course details, such as syllabi, assignments, and assessments


Provide executive-level administrative support for select PSOM committees, societies, and academies, processing approved purchases against program budgets, scheduling and coordinating events (both in person and online), and assisting with special projects

Create text content for websites, slide decks, emails, newsletters, and other forms of information distribution, that reflect strong communication skills, sound judgment, and polished execution

Manage and assist with special projects, departmental retreats, events housed within OAA; participate in the planning of events, the logistics, negotiate and communicate with vendors. Support maintenance of central OAA department calendar.

Qualifications
  • BA/BS with ability to show experience in delivering highly polished projects to a variety of audiences
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required."
