Position Summary

The Program Manager reports to the AVP for Academic Technology & Campus Engagement and works cross-divisionally, serving as an IT leader, leading technical student success projects and programs. The incumbent shall provide oversight to the student planning and advising platform, Civitas, and ongoing program management support beyond implementation. The Program manager shall lead multiple project teams and committees to ensure a unified suite of tools are provided to students.

The Program Manager shall partner with campus constituents, operationalize student success initiatives, ensuring technology support and services meet the dynamic needs of students and the goals identified by the campus student success initiative. The incumbent shall work with all necessary divisions and with ASI and peer mentor groups throughout campus to increase adoption and usage of technology services, build buy-in, and overcome resistance. The incumbent is responsible for ongoing training for student planning tools and platforms and delivering documentation to students, faculty and staff.

FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation)

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,750.00 - $11,146.00 per month

Hiring Range: $7,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month

Salary Grade/Range: 1

Recruitment Type: Regular (At-Will)

Time Base: Full-Time

Pay Plan: 12 months

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Other hours as required.

Required Qualifications
Education/Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. Demonstrated experience building and managing strategic and collaborative relationships across divisions to support student success application, increasing adoption and usage of technology services, building buy-in, and overcoming resistance.
  3. Demonstrated experience working with campus partners to lead change management efforts, including coordinating with technical and functional leads on any technology-related implementations, modifications, or upgrades, including documenting new requirements, conducting user acceptance testing, and coordinating any required training.
  4. Demonstrated experience in developing, coordinating, and conducting training and delivering training documentation to students, faculty, and staff.
  5. Demonstrated vendor management experience, serving as liaison to troubleshoot and report problems, request enhancements, and any necessary training, and coordinate support and upgrades.
  6. Demonstrated experience consulting with campus users to determine needs for and coordinate development of reports and dashboards to effectively and efficiently monitor application usage/activity, track specific student success program outcomes, and identify any areas for performance improvement.
  7. Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience working in higher education.
  2. Master's degree in a relevant field such as management information systems, data analytics, computer science, social science, education, statistics, data science, etc.
  3. Demonstrated experience serving in an IT leadership role such as manager and successfully leading IT projects and delivering IT services.
  4. Experience working in a shared governance/collective bargaining environment.
  5. Demonstrated experience leading a high-performing team or supervising staff; responsibilities include setting performance standards and measures; providing appropriate levels of training, mentoring, and professional development; and fostering a strong sense of shared accountability and cross-functional communication and collaboration.
