Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program is a two-year experiential program designed to advance lifelong learning and the education and training of Pharm.D. graduates. A key element of the program's success is preparing Fellows to meet evolving workforce needs across various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry.

Fellows have the opportunity to work closely with our innovative biopharmaceutical industry partners, while engaging with Northeastern University faculty in professional and career development, teaching, service, and scholarly activities.

In partnership with Northeastern University, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is offering a two-year Global Medical Affairs TTR fellowship, based in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities
Overview

The Medical Affairs organization at Alnylam plays a leading role in supporting pipeline assets, in preparing for launch, and supporting commercially available products, as we advance medicines for patients who have limited or inadequate treatment options. The Global Medical Affairs (GMA) TTR team is responsible for developing and driving the global medical strategy across the transthyretin (TTR) amyloidosis franchise at Alnylam. The team plays a central role in shaping the strategy across evidence generation, external engagement, and scientific communications, ensuring strong alignment between the Global and Regional/Local level. Additionally, GMA TTR serves as a key connector between internal stakeholders and the broader external medical and scientific community. The PharmD Fellow will gain hands-on experience contributing to global strategic initiatives in a highly cross-functional setting, collaborating with colleagues across Global and Regional Medical, Commercial, and Clinical Development. This role offers an opportunity to gain exposure to the strategic and operational aspects of medical affairs in a dynamic, late-stage and commercialized product setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support development of the integrated global medical strategy for Alnylam's TTR franchise, including contribution to the Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP)

  • Synthesize internal and external insights to inform strategic planning and evidence generation

  • Support external engagement strategy and execution, including for congresses and advisory boards

  • Contribute to the development and planning of scientific platforms, communications and training materials, data dissemination, and other global medical resources

  • Collaborate with internal partners across Global and Regional Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Commercial to align on global priorities and execute cross-functional initiatives

  • Participate in medical review of materials to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance

  • Support the development of training materials and internal scientific resources for medical teams

    Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution

  • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Massachusetts

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong time management and leadership abilities

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on a variety of projects at both the industry site and

    Expected Hiring Range:
    $59,425.00 - $83,935.00
