Position Description
The College of Arts and Sciences is hiring an Academic Advisor. This academic advisor works as part of a larger advising team to assist students with educational planning processes; guides students in resolving challenges to educational progress, provides information to students about opportunities, resources, and university practices and helps support college faculty advisors. This advisor advises students from a variety of A&S departments and programs and interacts with students individually in scheduled and drop-in appointments, in small groups, online, and through events and programs. This position will assist the Assistant Dean for Student Academic Affairs with program development, assessment, and evaluation and participate in university and college wide academic advising efforts and initiatives as well as recruitment and orientation events.
